OVERVIEW The TomTom XL325 is your basic entry level TomTom GPS and comes with a 4.3” anti glare, color, touch screen and preloaded maps of the United States. You may purchase the XL 325 series in Three combinations, the basic XL 325, the XL 335S with teXt to speech included and the XL 325SE thier silver edition with text to speech and traffic option. All these TomTom GPS units have the same basic features. TomTom XL325 Owner Reviews Amazon By Elizabeth McKnight, March 16, 2010 My Dad and I bought this GPS for my Mom for Christmas, since our family really dislikes Mapquest and she often needs directions to get various errands done. After reading the reviews, and knowing her needs in a GPS, we decided on this one. I myself have used it several times this past month while out looking for a car, and it has been a tremendous help! It's very easy to use, and I would highly recommend it for people who usually travel with a second person in the car. My reason being-it doesn't speak the street names. You have to look at the screen to see the specific street name you are looking for, which, if you don't have a "navigator" with you to do it for you, can be dangerous. If you look at the full list of directions beforehand, that may not pose a problem for you, however if you're going on a long trip/going to an area you are totally unfamiliar with and will be making a lot of turns, you might want to consider a different GPS. That is the only thing I can see being a real issue with anyone. Other than that, it's a great GPS for the price! By B. Turner "voitek88", February 5, 2010 based on pricing and speed of delivery, i'm quite satisfied with this GPS. however, i've run into a lot of trouble with the lasting power of the battery charge. it's brief. very brief. and all too often, i find my unit shuts off moments after i set it and head for my destination. this makes for difficult travel. WalMart By Rico13, 01/05/2010 I found that while the directions and features were to my liking, there is a design flaw in the windsheild mount. The unit will not stay attatched to the mount and continually falls off. My only theory on this would be that they are packaging them with their standard design windsheild mount.
