Routing is extremely easy. Just enter the address, select one of the millions of Points of Interest, a previous destination or one of your "favorites". You can also customize your route by selecting to avoid highways, tolls, etc. In addition, you can ask for the fastest time, shortest distance or an off-road route. The nüvi 465T provides specialized routing to support truck-related restrictions (customizable by height, weight, length, width and hazardous materials). Simply enter the dimensions and load restrictions and nüvi 465T guides you according to your requirements. The Garmin 465T supports multi-destination routing, allowing you to enter several stops along the way. It will also sort your multi-route to provide the most efficient route. This is a great feature for deliveries. If you should make a wrong turn or miss a turn, "auto re-route" will get you back on course. "Lane Assist" which is also included with this GPS for truck drivers, will guide you to the proper lane for navigation and upcoming turns. A great feature on congested freeways. Your Gamin 465T also has a speed limit indicator which displays the speed limit for most major roads. "Where am I?" is provided to instantly give you your location, and the location of the nearest hospital, police and gas station and closest address and intersection. A great emergency feature. No one needs traffic alerts more than a trucker. The 465T comes with a lifetime subscription to NAVTEQ traffic and the necessary receiver. You will be provided with comprehensive and reliable nationwide coverage of traffic flow speeds and incidents such as stalled vehicles and accidents. In addition to millions of Points of Interest, this GPS for truck drivers also includes the National Truck and Trailer Services (NTTS) Breakdown Directory to its trucking-relevant points of interest. The NTTS Breakdown Directory is the most comprehensive guide to semi-truck repair facilities nationwide – including those offering 24-hour road service. You can also add your own Points of Interest. You can even select the keyboard layout. You can choose ABC or Qwerty. Bluetooth technology has also been included with the 465T allowing you to make "hands-free" phone calls with your compatible cell phone. Click on compatible cell phones to see if your phone is compatible. Navigation isn't the only thing the 465T does. It includes a world clock, currency and unit converter, a calculator and picture viewer. You can even select the voice that gives you instructions from Garmin Garage, along with the vehicle icon shown on your GPS.
