Garmin nuvi 360 GPS

Although the Garmin nuvi 360 GPS has been discontinued by Garmin, the demand for this unit is still strong. Released in 2006, the Garmin nüvi 360 3.5-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator has a 3.5" screen and has several very popular features. Text to Speech enables the Garmin nuvi 360 GPS to speak the street name on which you should turn, in addition to what direction and when to turn. The on board Bluetooth technology will allow you to make "hands free" calls on your compatible cell phone. Check Supported Mobile Phones to make sure your cell phone will work with this system. If you have your phone paired to Garmin bluetooth, you can even have your phone call a selected Point of Interest.

The nuvi 360 comes with preloaded maps of North America and Puerto Rico or Europe. The maps are viewable in 2D and 3D. It also has 6 million Points of Interest preloaded and it allows you to add Points of Interest of your own. In addition, you can set up a proximity warning to different points such as, school zones, churches, gas stations, etc. The European version of the nuvi 360 even has preloaded safety camera locations for parts of Europe.

The Garmin nuvi 360 GPS is also TMC traffic compatible. You will have to purchase the receiver for this service and obtain a subscription to the service. Check Total Traffic Network coverage to make sure that your driving area is covered.

Planning a trip couldn't be easier. Just touch "Where to?" and enter your destination address on the touch screen and your route will be created. The Garmin nuvi 360 GPS can anticipate your input after you have entered a few letters and will give you a choice of locations to speed up the process. You may also select a previous destination or one of the Points of Interest. After you have loaded your home location, you may create a route to "Home" by simply touching "Favorites" and then the "Home" icon. You can also customize your route by specifying roads to exclude, avoid tolls, shortest route, fastest time, etc.

In addition to being a great little navigation device, the Garmin nuvi 360 GPS is also an entertainment center. Equipped with a SD card slot, with the purchase of a SD card you can download your favorite music, Audio Books or your favorite pictures and play them on the Garmin nüvi 360 . It comes with a MP3 player , picture viewer and the ability to play Audio Books. It also comes with Garmin Garage which allows you to download custom car icons. A headphone jack is included and the Nuvi 360 has a lithium-ion battery with an estimated life of 8 hours. With Garmin Lock you can create a pin number to limit access to your GPS. Garmin nuvi 360 GPS unit - This is a discontinued item at a fantastic price! Includes great accessories that others charge extra for. I downloaded the most current maps, free! Works like a charm, bluetooth is excellent! Directions have been perfect. Do not hesitate to purchase, you cannot go wrong!

Garmin 360 GPS - 3.5-Inch Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator with Text-To-Speech. Easy set up. Even for an older guy. Shows small roads in our rural N.C. town. Does at times send you on a wild goose chase. Tried to follow instructions in northern FL. and it took us 15+ miles out of the way to a location. Sound could be louder, sometimes hard to see in daylight. Have yet to try the bluetooth feature.

As good as GPS gets -- which is still not perfect

Display is bright and clear. It kept falling off the windshield till we realized we needed to lick the suction cup first. As far as GPS units go, this one is a terrific buy. It's GPS itself, alas, which is still flawed: sometimes directions are spot on, other times roundabout or just plain wrong.

A very good GPS for the price. I looked at several, but chose the nuvi 360 for it's features that would have cost much more on other GPS. It is very easy to use. It is to bad Garmin discontinued this model.

Typical user ease you would expect from Garmin. Great utilitarian value in a nice package. Have purchased many of these as gifts and to replace a stolen one. Highly Recomended!

Garmin nuvi 360 GPS

This is the third garmin I have purchased. I have given them to all my Family programed to home. haha. the 360 is the onlyone that I can fault, the speaker volume is to low if you are driving. at the max setting it could use more volume, or a better speaker.
