Garmin nuvi 265WT and the Garmin 265T reviews and ratings

The Garmin nuvi 265WT and the Garmin nuvi 265T both offer many high end features of a portable car GPS system at a reasonable price.

Both offer the same features with exception of the screen size and weight.

The Garmin nuvi 265WT and the Nuvi 265T offer lifetime free traffic updates from Navteq Traffic. Coverage is limited, however and you should check their coverage areas to see if this feature will be of use to you. Click here to check coverage. Navteq coverage mapTraffic updates are becoming an increasingly popular feature and I think you will find a considerable improvement in coverage within the next year or so.

Reports about the bluetooth are that the audio quality is not that great, but being able to have "hands free" calling is a nice feature. Not all phones are compatible with this feature. Click on this link to check if your phone will work with this feature. Supported Mobile Phones

Another feature that rated high with users was "Where am I" which will give you your present latitude and longitude, the closest address and intersection, the nearest hospital, police station and fuel station.

An often overlooked feature that is provided with these units is the QWERT keyboard.

The slim design of the Garmin nuvi 265WT and the Nuvi 265T makes these portable car GPS systems easy to take with you. Among the most mentioned complaints were the call quality and the units were slow on route recalculation.

Blue tooth a little garbled

PC Nation:

Pros: Great little GPS, easy to operate and very reliable so far.

Cons: The only one at this point is that the traffic thing doesn't work in my city.

Dell:

Pros: Easy to use. Just mount, turn on and go.Free traffic.Bluetooth. Easy to add Europe maps. Build quality is excellent.Graphics are clear and screen is sharp. Bluetooth works very well.Speaker is loud and clear. This model tells you the street name to turn on not just "turn right." Most important, this unit works and performs very well.

The Garmin Nuvi 265T packs a lot of features into a very small case.

The Garmin Nuvi 265T is a reasonable price for a full-featured GPS - especially when you factor in the lifetime traffic service.
