Garmin nuvi 260 GPS and Garmin nuvi 260W reviews and ratings
The Garmin nuvi 260 GPS and the Garmin nuvi 260W portable GPS reviews found that both models offer the same features. The difference between the Garmin nuvi 260 GPS and the Nuvi 260W is the screen size, resolution and weight. Most everyone appreciated the wider screen of the Garmin nuvi 260W. The Garmin nuvi 260 is the first of the 3.5" units to have the "text to speech" feature. This is a very desirable feature if you are uncomfortable taking your eyes off the road to glance at the map. Other attractive features include ease of use and good navigation. Although these units include only the basic features, both the Garmin nuvi 260 GPS and the Nuvi 260W are rated the best portable GPS units of Garmin's budget series. The features are identical to those of the Nuvi 250 except for the addition of the text to speech feature. It should be noted that Garmin has discontinued this unit in 2009. "Easy to use, setup was very easy. I like the small size" By Bill It was supposed to have the 2008 map but had 2006 instead. does not usually know the shortest routes; sometimes makes glaring errors(took me into a housing development while wanting to get to a major interstate) "overall this is a great system" By Jen works great, some time it takes you the wrong way. says something is on left when it is on the right By Tim Speaks the street names allowing you to look for the street signs and not have to read them off the GPS Update could be a bit quicker, some streets that have been open for over a year are not in the data.
