Garmin nuvi 250w and 250 reviews and ratings
Most reviewers of the Garmin nuvi 250W and the Nuvi 250 appreciated the compact design and bright display. About the only difference between the 250 and the 250W is the screen size and weight. Everyone seemed to enjoy the wider screen of the Nuvi 250W. Most felt that Garmin nuvi 250W and 250 were easy to use, the route calculations were fast and the maps were good. Their compact design made the units pocketable and for a portable automotive GPS it met the basic needs. Unlike other units in the Garmin nuvi series, these units do not have upgradeable software. Other comments included weak GPS acquisition and no traffic capability. It should be noted that Garmin has discontinued both of these models in 2009. " by wdchin Pros:" It is small and easy to carry around. I like the simple interface." Cons:" No power cord included. Would be nice if you can enter your destination via when connected to the pc. You'll feel like to ditch this one, once you get a hold of wider screens 4.3" From Best BuyBy WhiteRabbitt "just got this and already in love with it! Great value for the price adds a whole other dimension to driving." "Ease of use, features, screen, trip data, etc " By K100 "We've used this on vacations to find places to eat and visit near where we stay. Example: It was great in Grand Rapids MI where I used it to avoid a traffic jam (construction) and quickly get to a restaurant we liked. It is simple to use and touch screen... lowest cost Garmin GPS that announces streets by name (key feature!)" "difficult to update (need to buy cable and figure out how)" From Circuit City By yahcubs "It was so easy to use and was really great in big cities. Unfortunately they are a hot item for thieves. Ours was stolen from our car in a parking garage. We should have taken it with us in the hotel. Lesson learned." Easy to use By dw "If you're coming from a Tom Tom it takes a little getting used to it, but once you get used to it extremely easy to set up and use." From PC NATION GARMIN NUVI 250W GPS By Larry "This is the first GPS I have ever owned and have been very please with the performance. I looked at various manufacturers and models and determined this was the best for the dollar." "The screen is large enough to see the details and the voice prompt speaks in plenty of time for me to make my decisions. Route recalculations are accurate." "I have not experienced any negatives at this point." By J. Moonie "After reading other reviews I had a few worries but not anymore! Everything works great, the only problem I have is some of routes it chooses can be a little off, not the fastest or most direct, & it does not recognize one way streets."
