As others have stated: You'll be lucky to get 6 months of use out of it before it has to be sent back for the "endless reboot" fault. The speaker is not designed to handle the volume this unit is capable of, it distorts past 70% volume. The processor is underpowered. Screen refresh is like a slide show, searches for POIs take forever. This is my first Garmin GPS for on the road, my others have been for hiking/boating. I know they can make a better product than this. The turn around time for return and replacement was very good.

I have another Garmin and thought I'd update my wife to a supposed top of the line unit. Well, the GPS is fine except for the Points of Interest portion of the unit. Unlike other GPs's this one does NOT show you the POI's as you are moving on your destination screen. It may show a few that you have loaded yourself but it does NOT show all the POI's like other units. It's ok but if you wanna eat or get gas or shop you are S.O.L. with this GPS.

This is my second Garmin my first was the Nuvi 660 still going strong, I like the 1390T, nice and slim, good interface, good features, very fast satellite sync , lifetime traffic, But please the silly traffic ads that pop up are useless and annoying. Considering returning this product for the 1690, Because of the ad's.

This is a great device. Lots of features. The traffic warnings are a good new feature for me. The touch screen could be better. Most disappointing is that I receievd this item less than 1 month ago and its broken. Was listening to directions and just shut down - no warning, no nothing! It WAS working fine. Gotta get it fixed or move to another brand - this is my second Garmin.

I purchased this item because I was drawn in by the lane junction view. It's a feature that shows you exactly which lane to drive in and which exit to take. Unfortunately, I have never seen this feature, because it's not available in all areas. Had I known this, I would've saved some money by purchasing a cheaper Garmin.

The GPS is great
The Blue Tooth works OK
The person in the car hears the caller just fine
The person on the other end has a very hard time hearing when the car is in motion (the idea behind the blue tooth).
So from this standpoint I would just buy the GPS and forget about the added expense of the blue tooth.
