We used it in philadelphia on a recent trip and it mostly worked great. They only reason i didnt give it a full 5 stars was that there were a couple of spots where the satellite signal was very poor and it kept recalculating and was driving us crazy b/c it kept taking us in the wrong direction. ALSO, the lower right hand of the screen was not responding to touch. After calibrating the unit, it worked perfectly. We had no problems after that. This GPS unit works great, and i think its a great price and i am very happy with it. By Traveler, January 27, 2010
The Garmin nuvi 1350T is a nice unit, but inaccurate. On several occasions, it's told me that addresses are on one side of the street and they are actually on the other. In cities, it will often think I've missed a turn when the turn is still 50 yards in front of me. Then, it will "Recalculate" based upon its assumption that I've missed the turn. Then, it figures out I made the turn and has to recalculate again. (On the plus side, it recalculates way faster than my old Tom-Tom. But, that's little help when I have to make a series of quick turns and it misses giving me the instruction because it's busy re-calculating due to the inaccuracies.) The traffic feature is nice. The other features -- Points of Interest, programming in destinations, etc. work well. But, really, they don't matter a lot if the unit is perpetually confused about where you are! By R. This GPS device works great, and I agree with many of reviews posted so far. Just know that 'free lifetime traffic alerts' means that you will get pop-up ads on your map display when you are at a stand still. Though there are no pop-ups while you are motion, this is a rather annoying feature. I would have purchased another unit if I would have known this fact. Walmart

This is my second Garmin. I loved the first one which was unfortunately stolen. This new one has some nice additional features like free lifetime traffic, showing you the speed limit where you are driving, the "where am I" feature and the slim shape that fits easily in a pocket. However, two annoying oversights in design decrease my satisfaction. The charger cable attaches on the left (instead of right) side of the unit, which means it gets in the driver's way while being charged in the car. Perhaps more problematic is that there is a surprising lack of battery saving features. This is something that really matters if you are using the gps while on foot and cannot charge it during use. There should be a feature where you can set the screen to automatically turn off after a certain period of time without use, then have it automatically come one when there is a turn in your route and also be able to touch it to turn it back on again if you need to check your directions. At first got this product it kept turning off on the highway on its own even while plugged in. Returned the unit at a different walmart store, and the second unit did the same thing. Downloaded the update on garmin's website and that took care of the problem. This is my second garmin model, and besides speed limits, lifetime traffic (in limited areas), and the easier to access "where am i" feature, the garmins haven't changed that much over the years. Besides being a widescreen and a thinner profile, I expected some newer, faster software, but oh well. For $150 this is a good buy, just don't expect anything revolutionary.
