The Garmin nuvi 1350T worked great the first time out. The only complaint that I would have is that it alerted be to a traffic backup that didn't exist. I was happy that there was no backup, but somewhat annoyed that I worried about it for 40 miles. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Since I bought a 3 year warrenty, it probably won't break for awhile. I bought this item on the recomendation of a friend. I found it too much trouble to deal with. It finally broke toward the end of my 30-day evaluation and I returned it. It began doing a continuous boot loop of about 5 seconds. Amazon took it back without question. It gave me almost no control over the traffic information it provided. Suddenly, it would reroute me without telling me why it was doing it. The reroutings were so out-of-the-way as to not be believable. The lane assist information was very often wrong on routes that I was familiar with that it made me unwilling to believe it in new situations on unfamiliar roads. For example, on one 27-mile trip that I often take, which includes two interstates and two divided-but-not-limited-access roads, its lane information was wrong in 5 out of 11 cases. While I was not entirely happy with the lane information of the Magellan that I settled on, it was far better than the Garmin; it was wrong only 2 out of the 11 cases on the route I mentioned above. Also it gives you much more control of traffic situations. By Eric Aquino, June 4, 2010
I bought this unit new since it cost almost as much to load new maps on my old GPS, On the first day this unit shut off on its own a few times. Within 1 month it stopped working completely.
