These guys are the first and only one on the market. If they weren't the only one, they would be dead by now. On the other hand, their product does work most of the time. It's difficult and annyoing to use, the web site stinks, it only works once out of every two times I try to locate my dog, and the features are limited, but it does track my dog, which nothing else will do. So, I am glad I bought it and I do use it every other day or so. Still, I hope something else better comes along, there is much room for improvement. I canceled my Zookbak after eight months of (non)use and sold it to a friend for his dog to recover some of my money. Zoombak customer service told me that once the account is canceled the device CANNOT be turned on again and is useless. It can be thrown away, that is it, no refund, no sweet goodbye. I will NEVER buy a Zoombak product and will never recommend this product to anyone. This company has no regard for the customer in any way. Look elsewhere... You have been warned. By J. Zoombak Dog GPS Tracking device Review Fairly reliable system for finding current location but sometimes requires second query. Tracking/history features seems to provide incomplete data, but I don't use this frequently. Good battery life. Walmart

Works well, but needs to be charged a lot
The product works well and is a good value. The downside is it needs to charged every 2-3 days; package description said every 5 days. So, we have to take it off the dog at night when he sleeps to charge it and remember to put it back on in the morning. It's a bit high maintainence. It would be great if the battery could last longer. Still, it beats losing your dog. Brookstone

Firstly, it works as advertised. The biggest drawback is that when you realize the dog is missing, you have to go to a computer, log in and pinpoint his whereabouts, then get in your car to find him. The dog can easily travel 1/2 mile in that time! I guess the unit at least tells you what direction the dog is moving. There are similar units out there for children that have a hand-held directional unit, which would be a much more effecient product. By Husky breeder in KS, 2/3/2009
This product is an awesome idea! I can see this being developed in the future into a more cost effective product that more dog owners will have on their dogs. This product works off of both GPS and cellular signals to locate your dog, so even if you dog finds themselves in an inclosed location, chances are you'll be able to locate them (unlike most other similar devices that didn't incorporate the cellular side meaning your dog would have to be out in the open). I like that you are able to have texts sent to you with their location, look online, or talk with someone over the phone who'll help you. I do wish however that you would have a hand-held device that you could bring with you to try when you're out trying to track down your dog. Otherwise you almost need someone at home sitting at the computer on the phone with you talking you to where your dogs are. A couple of other cons... the monthly service cost is actually $14.95/mo. It says as low as $9.95/mo. But that's only if you pay for the first 6 mos upfront, but then the next 6 mos. you have to pay for at the price of $14.95. I think this is pretty mis-leading and a bit pricey. I think the service charge should be quite a bit less. I mean come-on, how much do you think a typical dog owner is going to actually need the service. The last complaint would have to be the battery life. I have to charge the thing every few days and it takes a few hours to charge. That leaves many windows when my dog doesn't have the locator on that they could get out and either have the locator on the charger or possibly run out of a charge before you might be able to physically find your pet. This is probably the biggest disadvantage. However, I have pure breed Siberian Husky's and anyone who knows this breed, they are very much so escape artists and can get far in a short amount of time. They are also not "homing" dogs, meaning they are not going to find their way home. So, in the end because of my breed of choice and based on the other options out there right now, this product is a must. Owner Ratings - Zoombak ZMBK100 Dog GPS Tracking device
